Strategic Plan
Preparing learners for life through Academics, Responsibility, Community, and Hands-on Learning
A year ago we embarked together as a community to develop a strategic plan, the focus of which would be to guide us through this exciting time in our school’s history.
As we worked to sort through the hundreds of pieces of information gathered over the course of this enterprise, it became clear that Archway School has a rich history of building and honoring connections—between parents, students and faculty; between curricular areas; between learning and doing; between our community and the community beyond our campuses; between our history and our future.
At the heart of this and all we do, we as a school have held that learning, social relationships, and community are inextricably connected.
For these reasons we have decided to name our strategic plan "Connections". How to capture these core values in a statement of the school’s mission was no easy task. In the end it was the faculty themselves—those for whom the result would guide all they do—who found the right words. With great admiration for their clarity and grasp of the scope and nuance, we found that the following conveyed as clearly as ever, those connections described throughout the plan: Preparing learners for life through Academics, Responsibility, Community, and Hands-on Learning.
